The IMPACT of INNOVATION & MAKING on Urban America
Hartford, CT | 11/15/2019

EVENT RECAP

The downtown Hartford location of MakerspaceCT was brimming with makers from throughout the region at the 2019 New England Maker Summit (NEMS) on Friday, November 15, 2019. The Summit brought together experts in city planning, entrepreneurs, educators, manufacturers, Maker Movement industry leaders, and curious minds from across New England for the day-long conference. This year’s theme for the 3rd annual event was “The Impact of Innovation & Making on Urban America.”

“It was exciting to host this event at our own location this year,” said MakerspaceCT Executive Director Devra Sisitsky. “This gives us the chance to showcase our new space to individuals who share the same interest in being creative and innovative.”

The full-day event included keynote speeches, an afternoon of breakout tracks, guest speakers and a panel discussion. View all of the content from the event below.
