As we prepare for reopening on June 2nd, we are developing new protocols to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Tuesday: 12pm-9pm / Wednesday: 12pm-9pm / Thursday: 12pm-9pm / Friday: 12pm-10pm / Saturday: 10am-10pm / Sunday: 10am-6pm / Monday: CLOSED

As we announced last week, MakerspaceCT is reopening on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020. We are very excited to see you making in the shops once again!

Our #1 goal in preparing to welcome you back is maintaining a clean and safe environment that safeguards your health.

To that end, we have developed SAFESHOP, a proactive program that follows State of Connecticut public health guidelines provided by the DECD.

Key elements of SAFESHOP include:

• Procedure for check-in/check-out, which will include a no-contact temperature check upon arrival. Also be prepared to answer questions to confirm that you are free of COVID-19 symptoms.
• “SAFE-T-STATIONS” in various locations (which will have gloves and antibacterial wipes).
• Strict cleaning and disinfection protocols:  bleach-based, sanitizer spray bottles outside of each shop.
• Safe distancing occupancy posted for each shop; limited to 59 for the overall facility (50% of normal occupancy)
• Facemasks to be worn at all times while on the premises.
• New arrangements for certain workstations to facilitate safe distancing.
• Safe distancing markers and clear signage that reinforces policies throughout the shop.

We are providing a detailed floor plan that shows maximum occupancy for each shop and the location of “SAFE-T-STATIONS” and sanitizing products. Click here to view the floor plan.

As you return to MakerspaceCT, we will provide an orientation to confirm that all aspects of the SAFESHOP program are clear.

MakerspaceCT has already completed the self-certification on the DECD website to receive a Reopen CT badge and we are cleared to reopen on June 2nd. Please click here to view the specific state guidelines that we are following.
