Successful Fundraising Event for MakerspaceCT

MakerspaceCT hosted a crowd of about 250 people in Hartford on Friday, May 5, 2017, for our first public fundraiser.

The packed house enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and dinner from The Bee’s Knees Catering, live music by The Colbys, beer & liqueur tastings from Hanging Hills Brewing Co., Hog River Brewing Co. and Hartford Flavor Co.

We also debuted a new MakerspaceCT video “Make It Happen In Hartford” featuring Connecticut maker advocates Tom Rutledge, Melissa Thom and John Paul Vasselina. The video makes the case for establishing MakerspaceCT in Hartford as the new headquarters for education, innovation, entrepreneurship and workforce development for Connecticut:
